History of The Sussex Inn

The Sussex Inn......

It was Built in 1848 by Gabriel Coykendahl and it was orginially know as "Frank U. Dixon's Union House"
During the Civil War the Union House was used as Recruiting station for Union Soldiers, some of the famous people whom had stayed at the Inn are, Garret A Hobart. Whom was the vice president to William Mc Kinley in his first term.

Downstairs is the orginial Bar from when the Inn was Built.
Upstairs a newer Dining room area. All decked out for the Holiday Season.




























Spring at the Sussex Inn
This spring was a wonderful time, the rose bushes were in bloom and everything was growing at a fast rate.

This Photo was taken this past Christmas, each year the Inn gets all decked out for the Holiday Season.
